Our History

The LCC launched in 1976 to offer small businesses the tools and resources they need to thrive. Today, we proudly connect and serve over 1,500 members of Nevada’s business community.

The Latin Chamber of Commerce was incorporated by the State of Nevada as a nonprofit organization in 1976.

In May 1976, the LCC held its first event with honored guest and keynote speaker Governor Mike O'Callaghan.

Within five months of launch, the Latin Chamber issued membership certificates to 50 Hispanic-owned businesses.

In the first 10-years of launch, the LCC participated in the establishment of a Foreign Trade Zone at McCarran International Airport, launched a job training program, and connected high school students to job opportunities thorough a Career Day program.

In 2015, the LCC welcomed Peter Guzman as its new president.
