The article was written by Tom Rodriguez and was titled “Memories of Manny.” Also on the front cover was a story about the 2006 La Opportunidad EXPO. Individual profiles were also included of Liliam Lujan Hickey, Joyce Woodhouse, Ruben Kihuen, John Pacheco, and Jose Luis Melendrez. An original article written by Dan Tafoya was titled “Stories from the back of the Truck,” On the back cover of the Fall 2006 newsletter was an article titled “The Passing of a Remarkable Lady,” written by Tom Rodriguez to commemorate the passing of Maria Merida, the wife of Otto Merida, the President of the Latin Chamber of Commerce.
