Luis has significant litigation experience in Nevada's state and federal courts. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and contested and adversarial matters in bankruptcy court, real estate litigation and financial institutions litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Luis was an associate at an international law firm where he focused on commercial litigation as well as contested bankruptcy matters. He also served as the first law clerk for Presiding Civil Judge, the Honorable Elizabeth Gonzalez and worked for one of the nation's largest plaintiffs' firms where he managed a significant case load involving catastrophic brain and spinal injuries, wrongful death, product liability and insurance bad faith claims.

Representative Matters

• First chaired trials in both Nevada state district court and bankruptcy court;
• Successfully compelled the return of a brothel to its first lien holder;
• Prosecuted and defended several deficiency judgment actions taking several to trial;
• Prosecuted and defended several receivership actions for both debtors and creditors;
• Prosecuted and defended non-chargeability actions in bankruptcy court;
• Coordinated the defense for a nationwide mortgage servicing company in dozens of lawsuits involving lender liability and fraud claims;
• Represented a national mortgage lending company in a class action lawsuit by individual borrowers;
• Successfully defended a national insurance company against bad faith claim exceeding $1 million;
• Successfully prosecuted various breach of contract claims on behalf of a national asset management company;
• Successfully defended borrowers against FDIC lawsuits;
• Successfully prosecuted a rollover case against an international ATV manufacturer;
• Successfully prosecuted numerous bad faith insurance claims against national insurance companies;
• Successfully prosecuted dozens of catastrophic injury and medical malpractice claims.
