Joe has over 35 years as a licensed property & casualty insurance broker and over 25 years of Agency Owner/ Principal experience. He is a principal and partner of Branch-Hernandez & Associates, Inc., the largest minority owned insurance agency in Nevada that is MBE Certified with 20 fulltime associates.

Joe’s current responsibilities include oversight of the risk management department providing claims administration, safety consulting and administration of OCIP’s (owner controlled insurance programs).

In addition Joe also provides management for sales and marketing for the commercial lines department. Some of his duties include implementation of marketing programs, producer development, tracking sales, monitoring industry trends and carrier access.

Joe has also developed many industry relationships through his involvement as Past Chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America’s Diversity Task Force, IIABA Governmental Affairs Committee member, Past President of the Insurance Agents & Brokers of the West, Nevada Independent Insurance Agents Board of Directors, committee member of Travelers Insurance Emerging Markets Agents Council and Member of the Latin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Joe lives with his wife of 37 years, Lynelle, in Las Vegas and they have two children, son Matt and daughter Tara.
